{Archive: July 6, 2009) I'm still here... barely!!!

Hi everyone..

Firstly i would like to apologise for not updating this.. for what may seem forever (it does to me).. i have much to write about.. but i guess i wasn't sure.. as to what the contents should be. Should i just talk about fitness and nutrition only.. or also discuss my emotional state.. what i mean to say is - make it more personal. Although at first i felt it would be quite invasive but i guess this blog is as much as for me as it is for you. I have always felt that I'm an emotional eater (not attempting to justify my size) and I suppose i couldn't leave this aspect of my life out because hopefully when i read this again it will remind me of various scenarios i may find myself under where i end up resorting to food to provide that quick fix.. but this journey is as much about making the right choices not only when I'm happy but also in any other given situation.. as life can't be just one happy tale.

On a lighter note.. I will be posting pictures of my one pac so that people may observe the transition. I will also be writing about my 1st, July 4th Independence day experience and how it started of really well and ended up finishing with a firetruck, 2 ambulances and 5 police cars parked outside my apartment. (if that isn't a teaser to come back to read on.. i don't know what is)

{Archive: July 13, 2009}: OMG its another post.. woohoo!!!

Its your lucky day people.. o BTW.. thank you for all your support.. you know who you are.. no names will be mentioned (no not cos there isn't anyone.. or that I'm being sarcastic) As your all aware.. or not.. the sports club is about 2.5 miles walk from my apartment.. so i walk to the club and back (and workout when i get there.. cos whats the point then.. duhhhh). So on Thursday i had a training session with the "legend" Sal.. So he tells me weights are as important as cardio.. as it helps build up our metabolism and your body burns more calories when its repairing itself.. etc etc... so he walks me through my routine.. and we get to the most dreaded machine in the gym... THE SQUAT MACHINE... omg is all I'm gonna say.. my butt was hurting for 3 days after.. at that point when working out on the machine.. i wanted to tell Sal.. i hated him for introducing me to my nemesis.. but i will conquer thee and my butt cheeks will be as sexy as Jessica Alba (

{Archive 21 June 2009} My first.. blog/post.. not sure what you call it

I have created this blog for two reasons, firstly so everyone I know can follow my progress. Secondly so that I may hopefully inspire someone else to take a leap in a similar journey. I intend to bring together all the knowledge I have acquired into one place.. ranging from Nutrition, whats a good workout regime, how to overcome physical/mental hurdles. Well its Sunday.. I've left sunny England in exchange for Orange County, California. I arrived last week and I have begun my journey.. so far I have walked 12 miles to Newport Beach and back home..i loved it.. but my feet didn't. I've rested my feet this weekend, tomorrow I plan to check out one of Orange Counties sexiest gyms ( no not the eye candy).

{Archive: July 14, 2009) Im a barbie girl.. life in plastic...

you all remember that song by Aqua - Barbie Girl.. (here's the YouTube link if your not sure http://youtu.be/ZyhrYis509A ) well i was at the gym yesterday. There i was cycling and i notice this old lady walk up the stairs.. and shes STARING at me.. and I'm thinking why is she staring at me.. but as she walked away i realised that her stare was in fact static... and it was a moment of revelation.. light bulb moment.. the chick had obviously had a face thingy bob done.. and this was her normal look.. i suddenly noticed all the mature women looked the same like a factory production of OAPs (over aged pensioners) ..maybe they have the same surgeon (but who i am to talk..when my belly looks like im having triplets). I chuckled to myself and thought welcome to Newport Beach... where life in plastic is clearly the norm..
